Fitness Trampoline Buyer’s Guide

One that can build core-strength as well as aerobic endurance? Then a fitness trampoline is a great choice! Here are just some of a few of the benefits of adding a fitness trampoline to your workout regimen:

  • Burn up to 160 calories per 30 minutes of jumping
  • Reduces body impact by 40% over other types of cardio exercises
  • Boosts cardio better than 33 minutes of running

So if you’re ready to start bouncing yourself fit, you’ve come to the right place! We offer a full selection of the best fitness trampolines on the market. Yes, there are a lot of models to choose from, which is why we’ve created this buyer’s guide to help you narrow down your selection. Below are some of the key things to look at when making your decision:

Spring Type and “Bounce”

First and foremost, when looking at fitness trampolines you should decide which kind of “bouncing” experience you are looking for. The vast majority of today’s fitness trampolines, like many we sell on our site, use elastic cords to produce the bounce. The advantages to this are mainly reduced weight and increased safety since there is no metal spring that you might accidentally step through. The trade-off is in the bounce. Trampolines with elastic cords have a softer, “squishier” bounce, and some users prefer the more firm surface of a spring-based fitness trampoline for exercising. But if you aren’t sure, we suggest an elastic trampoline, as they are the most common models on the market today.

Weight

Depending on how you plan on using your fitness trampoline, you may be moving it from room to room quite often. Perhaps you are going to store it in a spare room or closet, but bring it out into the family room to exercise while you watch TV? If so, weight may be a factor for you as you will need to carry your trampoline from place to place. So be sure that you will be able to carry the trampoline comfortably to avoid any injury. Our rebounders range from 21 to 27 pounds each.

Size

Just like backyard trampolines, fitness trampolines come in various sizes. Depending on the kind of exercise you are doing, you may want a larger surface to step on. When in doubt, we recommend going with something close to 39” inches wide, which is more common than a larger size such as 44” inches. In short, if you aren’t sure if you need a larger trampoline, you probably don’t.

Folding

Some of the models we sell are “folding” trampolines, which means that the actual frame folds in half for easier transportation and storage. If space is an issue at your home, or you plan on taking your trampoline with you to the gym, this is a great option. Otherwise, we suggest a non-folding model for simplicity and stability.

Handle Bar

There are countless exercises you can do on a fitness trampoline, and some of them are aided by a handle bar that sticks up from the trampoline for the user to hold on to. Most of our trampolines can be purchased with this option on the product page. This is also a great option for individuals who need a little extra help with their balance.

Warranty

We always recommend that consumers review the specific warranties with their products which will range amongst manufacturers. Note, if you choose to save a few dollars and buy a rebounder on eBay, the warranty will automatically be null and void. Most manufacturer warranties will cover between 2 to 5 years depending on the part of the rebounder.
