Must-Have Trampoline Accessories
Decking out your trampoline with the best trampoline accessories can be fun and can do everything from increasing the visual appearance to adding better performance and safety. There are several popular accessories that can improve the experience of the trampoline as well as a few trampoline parts that are absolute must-haves.
Frame Pads
It is not recommended to jump on a trampoline without frame pads. Without them a potential injury is both more likely to happen and can be more severe.
For this reason, all trampolines come equipped with frame pads as part of the original installation. However there are times when you may need to replace them or you may have found yourself in possession of a trampoline that does not already have them. Be sure to always have frame pads installed when jumping on a trampoline.
Replacement Jump Bed Mats
Trampoline mats are obviously an essential trampoline part - you can’t jump without them. All trampolines come equipped with a jump bed mat, and the mats generally last up to 5 years depending on weather, use, and external factors. That being said, there are several situations where you may need a replacement trampoline mat.
One reason might be that the rings holding the springs have detached from the mat. The spring won’t attach if this has happened, and keep in mind that you cannot stitch them back on. Another reason might be that there has been some damage that has occurred including things like burns, or damage from it being left out all winter.
Replacement Springs
Trampoline springs can be replaced in order to improve the performance and bounce of the trampoline. If the trampoline springs are rusty or worn out, it’s also a good idea to replace them in order to make the trampoline safer to use.
Trampoline Covers
Trampoline covers increase the lifespan of your trampoline by protecting your mat and pads from the outer elements of the weather when you are not using them. During the winter months, you should either store your trampoline away, or invest in a trampoline cover to protect it from getting weighed down by snow and icicles and cause damage to the mat and springs.
Trampoline Ladder
If you have an above ground trampoline, you’ll more than likely need a trampoline ladder to get on to the jumping mat. Trampoline ladders can be a non-permanent ladder that simply attaches to the trampoline so that you can easily transport and store it.
Trampoline Lights
LED Trampoline lights keep the fun going well into the nighttime and can set an awesome tone for the entire yard. These trampoline lights are easily attached, waterproof, and can be plugged into any standard outlet.
Bounce Board
Bounce boards are like a skateboard or snowboard that is custom designed for your trampoline. And thus, they are perfect for practicing snowboard or skateboard tricks without damaging the trampoline! Both kids and adults absolutely love them!
Trampoline Anchor Kits
If you have an above ground trampoline, there is a possibility that your trampoline can lift off the ground and flip over or even cause damage to structures in your yard during a storm. For this reason, it’s a good idea to get an anchor kit for your trampoline to keep it in place.
Jumping Balls
Jumping balls are another great way to have fun with bouncing. They also come designed and equipped with special traction that allows them to be used on trampoline mats. Handless balls as well as jumping balls with grips are both popular choices.
